It’s going to be a big day of blogging as I write up all the stuff today that I have been meaning to post all week, but couldn’t due to other commitments (Gym, Overwatch, FreeNAS server maintenance and config -_-).
To start us off I’m going to share some photos I took of Benny this week as he was groomed on Wednesday. Continue ReadingFiled under: General | 0 Comments

I’m currently on annual leave and for most (read: all) of this week I have been at home clearing out old from various rooms of my house. During my breaks from the ongoing ordeal I decided to stalk some bumblebees in my back garden as I’ve always wanted to snap one mid-flight. While the pictures are took aren’t the greatest I’m actually very happy with the results. Check out the gallery on the jump.Photography | 0 Comments

I’ve given in to the hype and acquired the APK for Pokémon Go early to have a little play around. I’m a semi-retired Ingress player so I was curious to see how the game would turn out. So far despite not going anywhere, my impressions of the game seem to be pretty good.Gaming | 0 Comments

The theme I’ve been working on for the past few weeks is finally live. It has been tested with Internet Explorer 11, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Edge Browser and Safari and ‘appears’ to be looking good on all of these browsers so far. If you’re running older browsers or insist on still using Netscape you may be out of luck.
I will probably tweak things here and there over the coming weeks but for now my focus will be with the mobile version, which hopefully shouldn’t be too difficult. 🙂Filed under: Site | 0 Comments

It’s been pretty quiet here recently, but I’ve been keeping myself very busy! I am currently in the process of coding a new theme for this place. As nice as the many WordPress themes you can download from the interwebs are you just can’t beat a home-made theme… unless of course, it sucks!Site | 0 Comments

It’s June, so that means it’s E3 time where we get to learn about new hardware (maybe) and games that are in the works by studios around the world. The show itself doesn’t kick off until Tuesday, but the usual suspects (Nintendo, Microsoft, Sony, EA, Bethesda et al) will be holding their conferences from now until then.
Here I will talk about what I hope will show up this year.Gaming | 0 Comments

After owning a Blu-Ray drive for a few years I finally thought I’d have a play around with trying to view movies for free. I’ve previously used paid software to achieve this, but I’ve found that various solutions (*coughs* PowerDVD) are prone to crashing regularly and also start bombarding you with messages to buy the latest version of the software when released.Tech | 0 Comments

I’ve just arrived home from the hospital after my surgery got cancelled. I was in for what I hoped to be the simple task of removing my gallbladder, but unfortunately a number of factors got in the way. Firstly, I learned fairly early on (having arrived at the hospital at 7:40) that there was an issue with bed space. The ward I was due to be staying with simply had no capacity, which means there’s nowhere to shove me once the operation is complete. Hrmph!General | 0 Comments

So it seems I have failed to keep this place up to date recently. This is because I’ve had a busy couple of weeks involving photo/videography for a pole dance show, usual work commitments, preparations for the ‘thing’ (see below) and an acute case of Overwatch addiction! Y’know, the usual weak excuses!General | 0 Comments

I’ve successfully applied to RMA my keyboard after some LED issues popped up. Just as I was getting ready to pack the keyboard for its journey back to Corsair I came to the realisation I had left all the O-Rings on the keys. I’ve just had much fun spending the last 45 minutes plucking each of the keys out of the keyboard to remove these little rubber suckers! Grrrrnnnngggghhh! It was quite a bit of faff to install them in the first place, but removing them? Oh my… I don’t think I’ll be installing these things on the replacement!General | 0 Comments
