It may sound a little sad, but for the very first time in my 30-something years on this planet I have finally gone away by myself. Completely alone, no friends and no family present! As I write this I am currently sitting in a hotel room in Algate, London. I’m here for the next four nights as I will be attending a photography workshop a few miles away from here.
So far I’m very pleased with my journey. The travel was pretty straight-forward (look Ma! I can use the tube – I’ve gotten lost here before >_<) and the hotel room is pretty nice. Previously when I've gone away with friends, I've had a very hard time sleeping anywhere where I'm not sleeping in my own bed, I'm hoping I will break this trend this weekend! I will be attending a social gathering of the other people going to this workshop this evening at a bar. I'm a little nervous, but tat the same time I'm looking forward to it. It will be great to break the ice without having to worry about meeting people for the first time at the workshop itself. Believe me, I'm nervous about the workshop itself, but it should be fun. I'm hoping to keep this place updated as the weekend progresses as I *should* get some pretty cool photographs out of this experience. Due to one of the workshop days not starting until late on Monday, I'll be out and about doing the 'touristy' thing checking out and photographing various landmarks. Until my next update, I hope you guys have a lovely weekend! 🙂
